A palm tree in our backyard. I love the shape of it against the blue sky most at dusk when it glows.

Random stuff all around our house…
Why, hello Mr. Mantis. Thank you 4x macro filter. Boo ya!

Finally, my macro filters have arrived. They are tricky and touchy requiring mostly manual focus. Hard to do on little critters perched on gently swaying leaves. I have no clue what these little buggers are either!
Late, but here you go:
This is a friendly reminder for myself. I think I am going to edit my last 3 Blue Shots, trick them out, and print them out hopefully to be hung as a series of 3 in our Dining Room. Eek! I hope I am successful.

I have not yet had time to work on our last assignment, shadows and reflections, maybe I’ll get to it this weekend. But I did have the time to dig out my uber cool rotting pool float and take a new round of photos. I think I have a few winners here. Lots of onboard tweaking with my vivid setting to get this color saturation. What do you think?
I’m going to be photographing a friend of a friend’s dog soon. A black lab so I’m already imagining a black blob of energy! I found this great little blog post from the North Shore Animal League and thought it was worth posting here.

I am currently on the hunt for something to help explain all the numbers on my lenses. Ugh. So sad to think I am so math challenged that I can’t even figure out my glass. This feels like the early morning tutorials for Algebra I endured. Am I the only lens idiot?

Not my best work, but I tried. It was a nice distraction. All shot in manual.
